Hi all, we’re still massively busy here at BrickBox HQ with upcoming LEGO® events, builds for clients and workshops but we grabbed a minute or two to let you know what’s coming up shortly! First up is the ever brilliant BrickLincs show in Lincoln on Saturday the 8th of October. We will be displaying a Roman themed build including possibly the world’s first ever Roman take away, and we will also have a number of displays from members of Hull & East Yorkshire AFOL’s which is being staffed by H.E.Y.A member Emily. https://www.visitlincoln.com/whats-on/brick-lincs
Next up we have a competition and a number of small displays as part of Hobson & Porter’s Foundations Live event at Bishop Burton College near Hull. This will be taking place on the 20th October and is a construction trade event aimed at encouraging young people into the construction industry. It is visited by many schools and colleges from Hull and the East Riding and they can all take part in the competition to be in with a chance to win, as well as chatting to our Lego builders who will be present with a construction themed display. https://www.foundationslive.co.uk/
We follow this up with a re-display of our Historic Gloucester builds over the half term week of 22nd October to the 30th. This time they will be at the Museum of Gloucester and we will be accompanying it with workshops on Sunday the 30th. This may well be the last chance for you to see these builds! Please visit the Museum of Gloucester’s website for full details. https://www.museumofgloucester.co.uk/events/historic-gloucester-in-lego-oct22
During the half term week we will also be delivering some workshops at The Glassworks in Barnsley as part of the awesome Brick By Brick LEGO® exhibition which begins on Saturday 1st October. As well a all of these we have our regular Hull & East Yorkshire AFOL’s meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at The New Clarence pub, Charles Street, Hull from 7.30pm. At these we build to a theme, chat and have a pint! First meeting is free then just £1 per month after that. Plenty of fun for LEGO® novices and experts alike! https://brickbox.uk/heya/
